When to go

The Bahamian dollar (BSD) is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, and USD is accepted everywhere interchangeably — no exchange needed for Americans. Cards work in Nassau and resorts; the out islands prefer cash. Tipping is US-style, ~15%; many bills add gratuity automatically, so check before doubling it.
